Follow these steps:
  • Connect to the host
  • Become root
  • Run pkg install net-snmp
  • Run snmpconf -g basic_setup, following Configuring SNMP in Linux for the specifics
  • Run svcadm enable net-snmp
  • Run svcadm restart net-snmp
