ChivaNet supports BBcode in forums as well as KB articles.

General rules

BBcode tags look like this:

[i]some text[/i]

In the above case, some text would appear italicized.

What tags are supported?

• [i] - Italics
• [ol] - Begin/end a numbered list
• [ul] - Begin/end a bulleted list
• [li] - Begin/end list item
• [b] - Bold
• [code] - Begin/end code block
• [pre] - Begin/end preformatted text block
• [url] - Create a hyperlink
• [p] - Paragraph
• [section] - Section
• [mono] - Inline monospaced text
• [img] - Inline image (URL inside the matched tags)
• [quote] - Indented block for a quotation
• [red] - Red text
• [pink] - Pink text
• [green] - Green text
• [orange] - Orange text
• [cyan] - Cyan text
• [magenta] - Magenta text
• [blue] - Blue text
• [google] - Link to a Google search
• [article] - Link to another KB article
• [download] - Link to a download by ID
• [presence] - Embed presence info and AIM link for specified screen name
• [thread] - Link to a ChivaNet forums thread
